Welcome to the St. Helen’s Religious Education Page! We are here to assist you in the Religious Education of your children and youth; please feel free to call or visit us anytime. May God’s blessing be with you.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Religious Education of St. Helen Catholic church is to bring Jesus Christ, His values and His message, to the children and youth of our Parish; assisting parents in the faith formation of their children, through an ongoing encounter with Jesus Christ, within a caring faith community. We endeavor to fulfill our mission through these objectives:
- Provide instruction in Scripture, tradition and doctrine.
- Provide preparation for the reception of the sacraments appropriate to the age of children and youth.
- Make available opportunities for spiritual growth.

Offer timely information through written and oral communication and parents
classes. - Provide adequate training of volunteer and catechists.

Engage the parish community in prayer for the spiritual welfare of the parish
children.
Registration Information
New students
You may register online or contact the RE office at 863-0799. A copy of your child’s Baptismal certificate is required. If you are new to the Parish and you would like to register as a parishioner you may contact the Church office at 863-3041.
Sacramental Preparation
One full year of Religious Education instruction is required. After the first year of instruction the student will be prepared to receive the Sacrament needed. First Penance and First Eucharist will be celebrated in second grade by students who attended first grade. Confirmation is celebrated during high school with the same two year instruction requirement. A copy of the child’s Baptismal certificate is needed.

Rite of Christian Initiation

Precatechumenate: Tuesday, 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Catechumenate: 9:30 a.m. Mass with dismissal and class after the Homily.

ELEMENTARY K through 5th
Sunday 10:30 a.m. to 11:25 a.m. English
12:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Spanish
Tuesday 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. English
Wednesday 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. English
You may choose the day and time that is most convenient for you and your children.
