ORDINATION ANNOUNCEMENT
With great joy, we wish to inform you that Deacon Samuel Augustus Bass, a Seminarian who was at St. Helen during his Pastoral Year, has petitioned for ordination to the Order of Priesthood in the Diocese of Austin through the imposition of hands and the invocation of the Holy Spirit by Bishop Joe S. Vásquez on June 11,2022, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Austin, Texas.

A plenary indulgence will be granted to those who attend the Mass An indulgence is a remission before God of the temporal punishment due to sins whose guilt has already been forgiven, which the faithful Christian who is duly disposed gains under certain prescribed conditions through the action of the Church which, as the minister of redemption, dispenses and applies with authority the treasury of the satisfactions of Christ and the saints. Con gran alegría, deseamos informarles que el Diácono Samuel Augustus Bass, un Seminarista que estuvo en St. Helen durante su año pastoral ha solicitado la ordenación al Orden del Sacerdocio en la Diócesis de Austin a través de la imposición de manos y la invocación del Espíritu Santo por parte del Obispo Joe S. Vásquez el 11 de junio de 2022, en la Iglesia Católica St. Vincent de Paul en Austin, Texas .

Misa de Acción de Gracias

Se concederá indulgencia plenaria a los que asistan a la Misa.
Las indulgencias son la remisión ante Dios de la pena temporal merecida por los pecados ya perdonados en cuanto a la culpa, que el fiel, cumpliendo determinadas condiciones, obtiene para sí mismo o para los difuntos, mediante el ministerio de la Iglesia, la cual, como dispensadora de la redención, distribuye el tesoro de los méritos de Cristo y de los santos.
