Sunday Night - A Disciple is United to the Holy Spirit - This presentation will focus
in on living in the life, love and power of the Holy Spirit. Once a disciple has experienced
the power of the Holy Spirit in their hearts, they must begin to orient their lives toward
the Spirit. To do this, they must become aware of the Scriptures that guide them to live
spiritually in their physical existence.
Monday Night - Letting go of the World - Prior to encountering Christ, our focus was
purely on the world and living comfortably within it. Most of our focus and decisions
were for living our life in the moment with little focus on life after death. If Baptism is
really our death, then we are going to have to learn how to live ascetically. That is to say
deny our earthly passions and the ways we medicate ourselves.
Tuesday Night - Living the Truth - The temptation, post encounter with Christ, is to
keep living our lives the way we were, according to our own "truths", and add a little
Jesus to our lives. Disciples must make it their aim to grow in Faith. That is to say that
they apply their lives to living the scriptural truths which will cause them to trust in God.
Wednesday - From Volunteer to Disciple - This presentation will focus in on living in
the power of the Holy Spirit as we begin to live our lives for God and others. Making the
Spirit the Lord of our Calendars means that we are on call 24/7. To be at the disposal of
the Lord and used in any moment to help someone is how a Disciple operates.
Transitioning toward this task as we move forward in growth, we move forward in
obedience.
