    May 25, 2021

    Dear brothers and sisters,

With Pentecost marking Bishop Vasquez’s lifting of the temporary dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass, I am excited to invite you back to your parish home. Whether you have been a part of our parish family for a few months or many years, we're excited to welcome you back and build an even stronger parish community!

I understand that some parishioners may be reluctant to return to in-person worship, and I want to assure you that we will continue to take appropriate precautions to keep our congregation safe. If you are apprehensive, please reach out to me directly so I can personally address any concerns you may have.

I also understand that some parishioners are homebound, meaning they are too ill to come to Mass in person, and a few others may have compromised immune system that their doctors advise them not being out in public places. Beginning June 6th, we will livestream Sunday Masses at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. until December 31, 2021, when we will reassess the situation. The livestreaming of daily Mass will end on June 30, 2021. Livestream is available on our website at www.sainthlens.org/live.

Although we continue to worship together and connect as a parish family in new and creative ways over these many months, I am sure you will agree that there is no comparison to celebrating the Eucharist in person, in our church. At each celebration of the Mass, the whole Christ is fully present to us, body, blood, soul and divinity. Come to Jesus! Come for Peace! Come for Healing!

As we are a "family of families," I would also like to ask for your help in checking in with other members of our parish, as well as your friends and loved ones, and inviting them to come "home" with you. They may simply need someone to offer extra guidance on their journey of faith and, as stewards of Christ, we are called to walk together so all may know the love of God.

I am very blessed to be here with you at St. Helen Catholic Church. I desire to see you all back in the pews each Sunday and holy day.

We have planned some events in the upcoming weeks that we would love to participate in with you. Please see below for a few of Welcome Back Events.

    Sincerely in Christ,

    Fr. Hai Nguyen

    25 de mayo de 2021

    Queridos hermanos y hermanas,

¡Ven a Jesús!  ¡Ven por la paz!  ¡Ven a curarte!

    Padre Hai Nguyen
