The Secular Franciscans are inspired to follow the Gospel through the life, example and charisms of St. Francis and St. Clare, both of Assisi. They were called to live out the Franciscan vocation as married or single people or as diocesan clergy, all sharing in their desire to live the Gospel life in the world. These Catholic Christian individuals comprise the Third Order of St. Francis or the Secular Franciscan Order. Basically, this means gathering as community to pray and build fraternal relationships on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. In this setting we strive to become one in heart and mind with Jesus and in Jesus.
